Theresa Manahan, '06, Events Chair of the Charlotte UCF Alumni Club , has written three pieces for ESPN this year.

The 23-year-old venue was imploded last month and here's my little piece in the current issue (April 16) of ESPN The Mag. Past Events

Cheers to this! The UCF Charlotte Alumni Club teamed with the UF Charlotte Gators for an event at the World of Beer to mingle and raise donations and funds for local charities, including the Humane Society. The networking happy hour brought many Sunshine State grads out with tons of donations being contributed. Alumni munched on Carolina BBQ while reminiscing about their alma maters. The members then were invited to drop off some of the donated goods to the Humane Society, where the volunteers were more than grateful for the benevolence.

Although rivals on the field, more collaboration is welcome from both clubs in the future, with the possibility of extending an invite to more Florida universities’ alumni associations in Charlotte. Now if we could just get those Seminoles on board!
