Welcome To The NEW UCF Alumni Website
Charles Millican Statue

In 1963, Charles Millican became the first President of the Florida Technological University, which was renamed the University of Central Florida in 1978. It was his early leadership that laid the foundation for the university we know today. As students and faculty walk the campus today, his influence is still felt in many ways. Whether the academic programs that have grown in reputation or the design of the campus, Dr. Millican's service left a lasting legacy that should be recognized and celebrated.

To recognize Dr. Millican's professional contribution to our university, a group of distinguished alumni initiated a drive to create a statue to honor him as founding president. The statue of Dr. Millican was dedicated in Alumni Plaza. The alumni group would like to extend an invitation to faculty, staff, community friends and alumni to join them in honoring Dr. Millican with a contribution to the Charles N. Millican Statue project. All gifts are appreciated.

Don't wait, give to this great cause today and direct your gift to the Charles N. Millican Statue (#UCFF000272).
