Alumni Fall Reception
Each fall the Marching Knights Alumni Chapter kicks off the season with a dessert reception at the reflecting pond mark the close of band camp. Mingle with old friends and make new as we celebrate the season to come!
The UCF Marching Knights Alumni Chapter hosts its annual reunion the weekend of the Homecoming football game. The event includes lots of fun events, including a social on Friday nights, a pre-game tailgate and the opportunity to take the field to play along side the Marching Knights of today. Marching Knights Homecoming 2018 festivities will take place on Nov. 9-10.

Q. When is Homecoming 2018?
A. Homecoming is Nov. 5-10. The Marching Knights reunion will take place Nov. 9-10. The Homecoming football game is on Nov. 10 against Navy.
Q. When is the registration deadline?
A. Deadline will be Oct. 7, midnight. REGISTER NOW
Q. I'm no longer able to attend the reunion. Can I receive a refund?
A. Refunds will be given through Oct. 7 and refund requests must be submitted by 5 p.m. on the 7th to [email protected]. We are unable to issue refunds after that time.
Q. What's included in the price of the reunion?
A. Registration includes a social Friday night, a meal prior to the game and a commemorative gift. There are three package options. 1. Registration with Polo: $55 2. Registration with t-shirt: $36 and 3. Registration only: $30. All attendees MUST be registered and wear the official, black, MK polo or t-shirt or have a designated wrist band to enter the stadium. Those marching on the field during halftime, MUST wear the official black, Marching Knights polo or t-shirt. If you purchased one in a previous year and it is still in good repair (not faded or torn), you may wear it again this year. A portion of the net proceeds will benefit chapter operations and student scholarships.
Q. Is the price different if I'm not planning to march in the halftime show?
A. No, all pricing is the same, whether you are marching in the halftime show or not. The difference in pricing is related to if you need the official black, MK polo or t-shirt. All attendees marching during halfitme must wear the official, black, MK polo.
Q. Do I have to have this year’s Marching Knights Alumni polo or t-shirt to march during the halftime show?
A. Yes, in order to march you must purchase and wear official black MK polo or t-shirt. The polos are a great option as they can be used again if you plan on marching again next year.
Q. What T-shirt sizes are available?
A. T-shirts: S-3X, unisex, 100% cotton // Polos: Women’s S-3X and Men’s S-3X, 100% polyester Sport-Tek
*Please be sure to note men's or women's polo when registering.
Q. If I'm not attending the reunion, can I still purchase a reunion T-shirt/Polo?
A. Unfortunately, no. Reunion t-shirts and polos will not be sold separately. They are only available for purchase with your reunion registration package.
Q. What's the attire for marching on the field?
A. Attire must be the official black, MK polo or t-shirt and khaki shorts or pants and closed-toe shoes/sneakers. Dancers may wear the official, black MK polo or t-shirt with black stretch dance wear bottoms.
Q. Where will the event be prior to the game?
A. The catered meal will be available outside the music building. The official schedule of times will be released once game time is made available.
Q. What's the schedule for the weekend?
A. The schedule will be dependent upon game time. Game time can be announced as close as six to 10 days prior to game day. Check back for tentative schedules as the event date approaches. When schedules become available, they can be found at: ucfbands.com or ucfalumni.com/marchingknights. Schedules will also be emailed to all registrants the week of Homecoming.
Q. When will the game time be announced?
A. The game time can be announced as late as six to 10 days prior to game day. We have schedules prepared for each option. The events listed will not change. Only the timing will be affected.
Q. When is packet pickup?
A. Packet pickup will be at band practice the morning of the game, Nov. 10.
Q. Is practice on Saturday mandatory?
A. Yes. In order to participate on the field during the halftime show, you must attend practice prior to the game. Official band practice times will be announced when the full schedule is available.
Q. How do I access the music and performance videos?
A. Music and videos will be available online at ucfbands.com. Once you register for the Marching Knights Reunion, you will receive a confirmation email containing the link and password to access the music by instrument and videos for dance, majorette and guard.
Q. Do I have to pay for a game ticket?
A. No, you do not have to pay for a game ticket , but in order to get into the game, you and all of your registered guests must walk in with the band one hour prior to the game. You will receive information about where to enter the stadium and at what time after the game time has been announced.
Q. Can we leave after the halftime performance?
A. Yes. Anyone wishing to leave following the halftime performance may return their instrument to the alumni instrument truck immediately following halftime. Please check your instrument in with staff or designated volunteers. You may reenter the game one time after returning your instrument by walking back with designated staff and having your official shirt and wristband. Anyone wishing to keep their instruments to continue playing in the stands through the remainder of the game will be responsible for those instruments until the game is over and the band is released. Then following release, instruments need to be returned directly to the alumni instrument truck and check in with staff and volunteers.
Marching Knights Mentorship Program
The purpose of this program is to connect current Marching Knights with Marching Knights alumni mentors who share similar academic backgrounds, professional interests and/or career fields. Alumni mentors will share professional experiences, provide new perspectives and insights into their industry, share knowledge about career advancement and professional development opportunities, share information about professional organizations they belong to and assist in building and enhancement of their mentee’s individual skill set.
