Five Things UCF Alumni Need to Know This Week - Jan. 27, 2020

1. Let out a huge cheer for the 2020 UCA National Champions: the UCF cheer team. The Knights took the top honor in Division IA — their third title under head coach Linda Gooch '85 (2003; 2007; 2020) — on Jan. 19 at Walt Disney World's ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando. 2. Robert Richardson II '12 is a changed man. Read about how a three-month run on "The Biggest Loser" transformed Richardson in more ways than one, and keep an eye out for your fellow Knight when the show premieres Jan. 28 on USA Network at 9 p.m. EST.


3. Cornelius Davis '13 returns to Orlando with the national Broadway tour of Disney's "Aladdin." You can see Davis, an ensemble member in the show, at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts now through Feb. 9. Davis will also help stage a benefit show with his castmates on Jan. 27 at 8 p.m. at The Mezz downtown. The show, 
"Songs From a Whole New World," will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Read more about the show and Davis here.
