On Saturday, Oct. 2, our Knights take on Navy in Annapolis, and we know UCF fans show up and show out. That's why we asked our local alumni group, the Washington D.C. UCF Alumni Chapter, for their best recommendations for Knights making the trip!
Things To Do
We've got your pre-game plans covered with the UCF ChargeOn Tailgate. But while you're in Annapolis, our D.C. Knights recommend the following activities:
- Take a tour of the U.S. Naval Academy, the Maryland State House and the William Paca House & Garden
- Explore Annapolis Harbor via kayak or sailboat
- Enjoy the beach at Sandy Point State Park
- Bring your pup for a day at Quiet Waters State Park, where there's a dog beach!
Best Food and Drinks
We know that #UCFood game is strong, so our local alumni have put forth the best food in the area for Knights to enjoy:
Crab cakes: Chick & Ruth’s
Happy Hour: Vida Taco Bar
Ice Cream: Annapolis Ice Cream Company
Waterfront Dining: Carrol's Creek Cafe, Pusser's
Seafood: O'Leary's
- Winery: Great Frogs Winery
Places to Stay
Our friends from the American Athletic Conference recommend the following options for lodging in the Annapolis area:
- Westin Annapolis Hotel
- Doubletree Annapolis Hotel
- Country Inn & Suites
- Hampton Inn & Suites - Annapolis
- O’Callaghan Hotel
- Westin & Sheraton BWI Hotels

We hope this helps as you plan your travels to cheer on our Knights! We look forward to seeing you in Annapolis.
Go Knights, Charge On!
