Five Things Alumni Need to Know This Week - September 23, 2019

1. Join an impressive group of alumni and climate-change advocates for the Second Annual Climate Correction, a conference and expo dedicated to sharing and collaborating on climate change solutions. The event is Oct. 3 in the Student Union. Get your details and your tickets right here.

2. Our women's soccer team secured a win this weekend in Irvine, CA and our Los Angeles UCF Alumni Club was there to cheer them on! We love that, thanks to our regional chapters and clubs, no matter how far our teams travel, there are Knights nearby to root for them.

3. Are you ready to up your gameday experience? Good. Enter covegating. By the start of our 2020 football season, this new athletic facility will be available as a recovery and leisure space for our student-athletes and as an entirely unique day of tailgating for our fans. Get more details and reserve your membership here.

4. "The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) today named UCF a finalist for the 2019 Degree Completion Award. UCF is one of only three universities in the nation named a finalist — along with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the University of Rhode Island — for employing innovative approaches to improve degree completion while ensuring educational quality. UCF was specifically recognized for making great strides in addressing disparity between retention and graduation rates of African American and Hispanic students and their white counterparts." 5. As Knights, we know what it's like to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and get back to it stronger than we were the day before. We. Charge. On. And that's what we're going to do this weekend in preparation of our game against UConn! Join us before the game for an Indoor Tailgate and get ready to cheer on our Knights with all you've got.
