Parent and Family Philanthropy Council

"When parents are able to contribute more to help students other than their own, it enhances the quality of the university experience for all." -Roslyn Burttram P'20

UCF students and alumni would be nothing without the parents who get them here. As parents of Knights, you are invited and encouraged to get in the game yourself by joining our Parent and Family Philanthropy Council (PFPC).

This is a leadership board of parent volunteers who serve a one-year renewable term. Members enjoy developing a connection with the university and with each other. Many of our parent volunteers even choose to stay active on the committee after their children graduate!

The council aims to raise awareness, increase philanthropic support and become more involved with the university to enhance the UCF experience for all Knights.

Members of the PFPC are required to:

  • Make a leadership gift commensurate with philanthropic capacity and passion for UCF
  • Welcome new parents to UCF
  • Serve as ambassadors to UCF and build relationships between parents and the university
  • Help identify potential council members
  • Attend council events as schedule allows

Parent and Family Fund

Last year, over 2,400 parents gave $1.2 million to support student scholarships and programs like Knights Helping Knights Pantry, which provides food, clothing and toiletries to students in need; and Career Services, which helps Knights prepare for their professional careers after graduation.

Some members of Knight Nation who take classes with your student, study late with them in the library or simply walk past them in the Student Union may need an extra boost to get through their college years. The Parent and Family Fund allows you the opportunity to provide that boost to students you may never meet, but whose lives will be changed by your generosity.

    Family Weekend

We hope you were able to join us for the fun-filled 2021 Family Weekend. The weekend’s events included a Friday Knight Welcome, Saturday tailgate, and the UCF vs. ECU football game. View the galleries below to relive the moments.
