  • Student Philanthropy

You don't have to have graduated already to want to support your school! Through Student Philanthropy and Class Gifts, students are given the opportunity to give back to their favorite area of UCF. Students can make a philanthropic donation to scholarships, Knights Helping Knights Pantry, a service, college, department, athletics...anything! Led by 4EVER KNIGHTS, this student-for-student initiative illustrates the importance of philanthropy at our institution.

UCF Class Gift Campaign 2020 | February 1-29, 2020

Each spring, UCF students join together to leave their legacy at our favorite university. What part of your experience at UCF has been worth more than $19.63 or $20.20? Knights give back to pay it forward to the next generation and express their gratitude to undergraduate research, CAPS, athletics, the Knights Helping Knights Pantry and more!

How to give:

Students can visit our GiveCampus platform to make a gift during the campaign. Make a gift and spread the word to your words. Gifts can be made online through the platform using credit card or Mobile pay options (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.). Graduating students can make a gift through the GiveCampus platform or when they order their cap and gown. Cap and gown ordering will open Feb. 10, 2020 as Grad Fair kicks off!

How to win:

Any student that makes a gift or participates in a contest will be entered to win one of the following prizes:

  • Have Memory Mall named after you for a day
  • Have the Reflecting Pond named after you for a day
  • Have the stone bench outside of Ferrell Commons named after you for a day
  • Be captain of the UCF squirrels for a day
  • Be Knugget's *official* best friend for a day (who wouldn't want to be Knugget's best friend?!)

Each contest you participate in counts as 1 entry! Follow 4EVER KNIGHTS on social media to keep up to date with the contests taking place across campus.

The First Generation Matching Grant is currently matching all gifts 2:1. That triples the impact your philanthropy can have in the life of a UCF Knight.

Johnson Scholarship Foundation Challenge | $21,850

The Johnson Foundation has generously agreed to match all gifts in support of the Students with Disabilities Scholarship Fund dollar-for-dollar up to $21,850.

Four Reasons Why We Give

Supporting What You Love

At UCF, there are hundreds of funds you can contribute to, so why not give toward something that excites you? Our goal is to connect you with your passion. Donor intent is important and we want your donation to support something you believe in. So whether it's first generation scholarships, furthering the arts at UCF, rooting for our athletics through your donation, or something else entirely — there's a fund for you and we want to help you find it.

Moving Beyond The Top 100 Schools

You know that ranking that comes out every year from US News & World Report? A portion of that score is based upon the number of gifts made to the university — including by alumni and students! We aren’t just focused on the dollars that come in, we are focused on how many donors support UCF. Every donor that supports UCF communicates to the world that they believe in what happens here. It's a big deal no matter the dollar amount and it helps increase our ranking, which increases the value of all of our degrees.

A Future Without Student Loan Debt

We are proud that 44% of our students graduate without student loan debt, but we aim higher around here and want that number to go up in the coming years. UCF has one of the lowest tuition rates in the country, so let's keep it that way. We can’t control state funding. We can control philanthropic support to the university. We can control how many Knights are willing to step up and give big to ensure that the next generation of UCF graduates is set up for success.

Small Gifts, Big Impact

Maybe you think that $20 gift of yours won't make much of a difference, but when 15,000 graduating students give one too? All those gifts of $20 add up and they mean the way is paved for UCF to continue to be a respected institution of research and a remarkable college for students to learn, grow and develop into tomorrow's leader. Your $20 bill can do that.

Frequently Asked Questions

Led by 4EVER KNIGHTS, the UCF Class Gift Campaign student philanthropy making a difference in the lives of current and future knights. Students make donations to the fund of their choice in support of a cause that has made a difference in their life.

Any gift makes an impact in the life of fellow Knight! Participation is our goal. A gift of $20 is just as important as a gift of $10,000. Your contribution matters!

We have suggested gift amounts for students:

$19.63 – This minimum gift amount also includes entry to the 1963 society, a recognition society dedicated to educating students about the power of their philanthropy impact and

$20.20 – This is the minimum gift amount if you are a graduating student and would like to receive your thank you cord to wear at graduation.

For those who are able to support, we are grateful that you are considering making a gift! Philanthropic support means the difference between a great institution and an excellent one. When you choose to mke a gift, it says you believe in the mission of UCF and its potential to change lives in our community. The number of donors that participate is also an indicator of success within university rankings in publications such as U.S. News and World Report

Thank you for your support! Students will receive their thank you cord when they pick up their cap and gown at the end of the semester. Cap and gown distribution will be April 20-24, 2020 at the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center.

We are always recruiting volunteers that help spearhead the events and programs that take place. You can volunteer in person or digitally! Email [email protected] to inquire about opportunities.

If you make your gift through the GiveCampus or UCF Foundation websites, you will receive your tax receipt by mail within seven business days. If you make your gift through the cap and gown checkout process, you will receive your gift after the semester concludes.
