Frequently Asked Questions
How are the wines selected for the Sword & Cellar Wine Program?
Each spring, a panel of UCF alumni gather on UCF’s campus for a blind tasting. These volunteers taste and rank a variety of wines, ultimately voting on their favorite red and white wine. The winning wines are offered to alumni each year with a commemorative Sword & Cellar label, designed by a fellow UCF alumni. Proceeds from the wine sale help support alumni programming.
What does my gift support?
All wine purchases go back to support UCF Alumni experiences and programming.
What are my shipping options?
Vinoshipper utilizes UPS and delivery options include Ground shipping, 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air.
Can I send wine to multiple addresses?
Yes. It is possible to send wine to multiple addresses. However, because shipping regulations vary by state, you must complete separate orders for each address, and check out completely in-between transactions.
Why can't Sword & Cellar wine be shipped to all 50 states?
When the 21st Amendment was added to the Constitution, it was left to individual states to set the laws pertaining to the importation and shipment of alcohol within its borders. As a result, each state has different laws regulating the shipment of wine, and compliance issues are very complex.
Can I leave a note for the package to be left when I am not there?
No. A signed permission note does not work. The carrier must receive an adult signature.
When will my order ship?
Orders will normally ship within 3 business days of your purchase. If you have a special rush or request, please contact Vinoshipper customer service by email. At times of extreme temperature, orders may be held to protect the wine. We will notify you if this happens.
