Celebrating a Stellar School Year

From incredible academic and athletic accomplishments to life-changing discoveries, Knight Nation is celebrating another stellar school year!

We had a record-breaking 19,000 graduates, and 57% of UCF’s first-time in college students graduated with zero debt.

Over 14,900 first-generation students were enrolled at UCF, and we awarded 979 first-generation scholarships.

Through programs like the Student Emergency Fund and the Knights Helping Knights Pantry, UCF enabled students to focus on their education, rather than how they would pay for rent or their next meal. To ensure student success, the Knights Helping Knights Pantry annually contributes over 50,000 pounds of food to students in need.

UCF continually supports student success and makes high-quality education affordable and accessible for students of all backgrounds, so it’s no surprise that we were ranked No. 2 in the nation for boosting social mobility. Our socially mobile graduates break the cycle of intergenerational hardship and put their families on a trajectory for success, making a lasting impact.

At the same time, we thrived in the classroom and on the field. UCF continued to climb the rankings for programs like cybersecurity, hospitality and nonprofit management, and we were once again recognized by U.S. News and World Report as Florida’s most innovative university. For the eleventh consecutive year, UCF’s computer programming team advanced to the World Finals, beating out the likes of Harvard, Stanford, Columbia and Cornell.

Cheered on by a sea of black and gold, our student-athletes won eight conference championships and made seven NCAA championship appearances, and UCF was welcomed into the Big 12.

UCF has so much to celebrate, and it’s all made possible by the generous donors who help fund scholarships, student resources, outstanding faculty, exceptional programs, championship caliber athletics, innovative research and more.

Donors include students, parents, faculty, staff, friends and over 17,400 alumni. Alumni giving directly impacts U.S. News and World Report rankings, helping UCF rise and enhancing the value of a UCF degree.

As much as we’ve achieved, we aren’t done yet. We strive to make each school year even better than the last. Knights are stronger together — collectively, there is so much we can accomplish, and so much we can do to empower our students to Reach for the Stars.

Join us in celebrating an incredible school year by making an impact on our students, community, state, nation and world.
