Jenna Mauro ’10

Tell us a little about yourself!

Hello! My name is Jenna. I graduated with my Bachelor’s from UCF in 2010, and received a Master’s Certificate in 2017. I’ve worked at UCF since 2007, met my husband here in a diversity training class, have two step kids (one of whom is a senior at UCF!), and have an adorable doggie. We’re big football fans, and have season tickets to see the Knights.

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

I always enjoyed writing and reading over other subjects in school. I always had my nose in a book growing up. I put ‘being a writer’ on my bucket list, and made it happen!

Who are some of your favorite authors or books?

Favorite authors: Paulo Coelho, Rachel Reid, Atticus (poet).

If UCF had a time machine, what moment on campus would you go back to?

I’d go back to my senior year Spirit Splash. I didn’t really “get it” at the time, but now I wish I had attended!

What are you currently working on right now?

I haven’t started it, but I would love to write a cookbook!

Anything else you want to share?

Go Knights!
