Carey Sobel ’09: Shining Knights Alumnus 2017

Since receiving the Shining Knights Alumni Award in 2017, life has continued to evolve in exciting ways.

I was already a proud father to Marley (now 13), and since then, we’ve welcomed our first and second biological children—Sloane (6) and Lennon (16 months)—into the family. Professionally, I scaled my marketing company to $12M in sales before selling the business. I now serve as Chief Acquisition Officer at Coastal Investment Company, a private equity firm that has raised over $400M to provide access to institutional real estate and venture capital opportunities. I also continue to lead Boss Group International, an M&A firm helping people buy and sell businesses, while staying active in investing and consulting. 

And on a personal note, my beloved Philadelphia Eagles have finally won two Super Bowls—so you could say it’s been a pretty good run all around.
