Is this the commencement ceremony?

Grad Walk is NOT the official Commencement ceremony. More information on the official ceremony can be found on the UCF Commencement Website.

Can I attend both Grad Walk and Commencement?

Yes, you can attend both Grad Walk and Commencement, you can attend just Grad Walk, or you can attend just Commencement.

When should I arrive?

Graduates and their guests can arrive anytime between 2:30-6 p.m. There are no assigned time slots but doors will close promptly at 6 p.m. If you and your guests are not inside the Addition Financial Arena by 6 p.m., you will NOT be allowed in the event.

What happens if I arrive after 6 p.m.?

Doors will close promptly at 6 p.m. If you and your guests are not inside the Additiona Financial Arena by 6 p.m., you will NOT be allowed in the event.

What should I wear?

You are welcome to wear your Regalia, however, it is not required to participate. Costume masks, flags and costumes are prohibited.

What should I bring?

All attendees should bring a valid driver’s license.

Please remember to bring your own water and snacks as we won’t have any provided at the event.

Where can I park?

Complimentary parking is available in Garage D. Mobility impaired individuals may be dropped off in front of the Addition Financial Arena prior to parking.

How many guests can I bring?

Every graduate may bring up to ten (10) guests with them inside the arena.

Registration is required for graduates only; there is no need to register friends and family members.

What is allowed on stage?

In order to maintain consistency with commencement, the only thing you can bring on stage is the diploma cover we will hand you for your photo.

Can I bring my own camera?

Bring your own phone or cameras to take your up close and personal photos/videos.
