Amanda and Andrew Vargo

In 2010, a sorority sister encouraged me to go to formal with one of her boyfriend’s fraternity brothers, Andrew. We laughed and had fun, but we went our separate ways afterward. I graduated and moved back home to Tampa Bay for graduate school. Then I returned to Orlando to stay with friends for New Year’s Eve 2013. I ran into a familiar face downtown, Andrew of course, who happened to be my kiss at midnight. Yet we went our separate ways again. Fast forward to fall 2014: Walking to my car after a Luke Bryan concert, who do I run into again? Andrew. This time he was not letting me get away. Finally in April 2015 we decided to give long distance a shot. We spent hours sitting in I-4 traffic traveling back and forth from Tampa to Orlando to spend the weekends together — going to more concerts, the beach and of course UCF games. I then made the move back to Orlando. We have since bought a house, added a fur baby (a golden retriever named Knight) to our family, and tied the knot last April! As I said in our vows, if our love story isn’t proof that timing is everything and everything happens for a reason then I don’t know what is. We don’t love many things more than each other, our pups and our alma mater.
