Rebecca Puntoni and Matthew Tourtelot

My husband Matt and I met playing soccer on the UCF intramural turf fields! We were both undergrads and had a group of mutual friends that played pick-up soccer every Sunday. We met there and soon began hanging out at tailgates and other gatherings. I graduated in the Spring of 2014 and not long after we began officially dating. Matt was still completing his undergrad degree and then graduated in 2015. In 2016 we moved in together and lived in east Orlando very close to UCF because it was the happy medium of his commute to Kennedy Space Center and mine to Celebration. It turned out to be the perfect location because Matt was then accepted to an engineering masters program at UCF. Matt always said he would not ask me to marry him until he finished his masters degree, which he was set to do in December, 2018. However, in May 2018 we took a trip to Spain and he surprised me by asking me to marry him on a beautiful hillside overlooking all of Toledo, Spain. I said yes!! We were happily engaged when he graduated from UCF with his masters in December 2018. Two undergraduate degrees and one masters degree and a beautiful love story all built by UCF! We are now happily married, about 1.5 years, and live in Colorado with our two fur babies!
