Shannon and Christian Harville

We met April Fools’ Day freshman year in the Nike 102 common room on the first floor. I had no idea he had been living in my same building that whole year and had never seen him before. I have a fraternal twin and looked up from studying to see two guys who looked exactly alike. I piped right up and said, “Hi! Are you guys twins?” One of them starting talking with me, and we sat and chatted for hours — forget the studying. We became best friends over that summer and by August 2013 he took me to Disney on our first official date and asked me to be his princess during the Wishes fireworks! College together was an absolute blast. I swear, he gets so much credit for keeping me focused through nursing school and now my doctorate. In July 2018, he took me back to my hometown with my family and to my favorite beach, and at sunset got down on one knee and asked me to be his queen forever. On March 9, 2019, we were married! He is truly my knight in shining armor and my very best friend!
