Meagan and Chris Hanley

Chris and I met through International Medical Outreach at UCF when we were both selected to participate in a medical volunteer trip to Peru during Spring Break 2010. There was an instant spark of friendship that grew over time as we both were also selected to do another volunteer trip to Paraguay during Summer Break 2010 and again to Haiti during Winter Break 2011. Friendship grew into something more as we ended up taking classes together and supporting each other as he became vice president of AMSA (American Medical Student Association) and I became president of IMO (International Medical Outreach) and continued trying to participate in my sorority Delta Delta Delta. Since our time at UCF, I began a career as a recruiter for one of the country’s top RPO companies, we got married in 2017, we moved to Miami so Chris could attend pharmacy school, rescued our sweet pup Murphy and recently moved back to Orlando (yay!) as Chris prepares to graduate with his Doctorate of Pharmacy. We’ve both experienced many ups and downs and changed career paths but a few things have remained constant: our love for each other, our Knights and helping people!
