Sarah and Robert Martinez

Robert and I both graduated from UCF with our bachelor’s in nursing. He graduated in 2010, and I graduated in 2011. We both were acquaintances at the time. We started dating when I worked with him at AdventHealth Daytona Beach in the ICU in April 2014. It is like people say: Love is when you least expect it. Also, I joke with him, he won me over because he brought me coffee and helped turn my patients at work. We got engaged April 24, 2017 and married on November 4, 2018. He presently works as a nurse anesthetist, and I work as an nursing instructor for UCF and nurse practitioner for AdventHealth Hospice. Also, we are currently expecting a baby boy, Victor. We are grateful that UCF and nursing brought us together, and we can’t imagine our life any other way. We love each other very much through this journey of life.
