This form is intended for all alumni volunteer opportunities within our colleges.

What is a College Alumni Council Member?

College Alumni Council Members are passionate UCF graduates who serve as advocates, ambassadors, and connectors within their college communities. They help support alumni engagement, promote philanthropy, and strengthen connections between alumni, students, faculty, and staff. Members attend meetings, participate in college and university programming, and contribute their time and talent to advancing the mission of UCF Alumni. Council members are based in Florida with the ability to attend in-person meetings and events throughout Central Florida.

For alumni interested in College Council service, please note that the application window for the 2025–2026 College Alumni Councils will be open from August 7 to August 21, 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the time commitment to serve on the College Alumni Council?
Council members are expected to attend quarterly in-person council meetings and actively support events and initiatives related to alumni engagement, communications, philanthropy, or student support throughout the year. Exact expectations may vary by college and will be discussed during the interview process.

I don’t live in Florida—can I still get involved?
This council is focused on in-person participation in Central Florida. However, alumni outside the area are encouraged to get involved with a UCF Community in their region, where they can make a meaningful impact.

Do I need prior volunteer or leadership experience to apply?
Not at all! We’re looking for alumni who are passionate about UCF, eager to get involved, and committed to strengthening alumni engagement. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or just getting started, your perspective and energy are welcome.

Do I have to be a UCF alum to join a UCF College Community?
Yes.

UCF Alumni Communities are designed specifically for graduates of the University of Central Florida. While family, friends, and supporters are welcome to attend many of our public events, formal involvement in leadership roles or councils is reserved for UCF alumni.
