Christina and Gary Smiekle

Gary and I met when I was a freshman and he was a sophomore at UCF. We initially were just friends and spent a lot of time together going to many UCF activities including Late Knights, sporting events and intramural basketball games (he was my team’s coach). By my junior year, we began dating and I’m so glad we did! Gary graduated from UCF with a degree in information technology and I received my degree in legal studies. After UCF, we relocated to Tallahassee, Florida, where I attended law school at Florida State University. We were married in 2016, and in 2017 welcomed our future Knight, Gary Smiekle Jr. We still visit UCF every year for Homecoming and are forever grateful to UCF for bringing us together.
