Erika Lingonblad and Richard Costello

We went to UCF at different times and never would have met on campus. Richard moved to Austin in 2013 (the year I graduated) and joined the local UCF Alumni club. I moved to Austin in 2018, joined the alumni club and signed up to be our event planner. Little did I know so did he! The people on the board assigned he and I as Co-event chairs and we met at our first meeting, June 2018. Richard and I got together for the first time to plan events for our club, and I even brought pen and paper for some serious planning. We spent approximately 20 minutes talking about event planning and the rest of the night felt like a date. We were inseparable after that; we will celebrate our two year anniversary inJuly! I am so thankful to our Austin UCF Alumni group for assigning us as co-chairs and for this person I now call my roommate and the love of my life! Thanks, UCF!
