Madison Kjosa and TJ Lievonen

It was the second day of Fall 2015 classes at UCF. An eager freshman named Madison walked into her Introduction to Psychology class in Classroom Building I and sat at the front, ready to start one of her first-ever college classes. Next to her sat a friendly sophomore named Tarmo (TJ) Lievonen. The pair made introductory conversation and instantly clicked. They would go on to spend a whole semester sitting together in that psychology class, comparing notes, talking about homework, and not too soon after meeting, falling in love. As our love grew, so did our love of getting involved at UCF. Through a crazy chance of fate, we both wound up working in the Creative Services division of the Office of Student Involvement. I, Madison, as a communications intern and eventual student director of OSI Black & Gold Studios. TJ as a member and eventual student director of OSI Productions. Having these roles allowed us each to grow our skills in video, photography, social media and team management, as well as work alongside fellow OSI agencies and UCF departments in putting on major campus events. In addition, we each pursued degrees housed in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media. TJ went for Radio and Television, while I pursued Communication and Conflict. Every class and professor equipped us to excel in our respective fields of video and social media marketing. TJ graduated first in Spring 2018, and I followed a year later in Spring 2019, both finding great jobs right after graduation in the South Florida area. Our story continued in August 2019, where we took the next step in our relationship and got engaged, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. We are currently in the process of planning our upcoming wedding, and will forever look fondly on the four years of memories UCF gave us. Then, now, and forever: Go Knights, Charge On!
